Almost, Maine Takes Stage Nov. 6-8

Written By: Rachel Putman

The University of 㽶ƵAPP – Fort Smith will present John Cariani’s Almost, Maine, Nov. 6-8 in Breedlove Auditorium.

One of the most popular plays in the world, John Cariani’s Almost, Maine, follows the interconnected lives of the people in the fictional town of Almost. Telling the story of nine relationships amongst the townspeople, we see them find or lose love in the smallest moments of life. While each scene takes place at the same time in Almost, they show love in vastly different ways, culminating with the view of the northern lights, and showing the audience how magical and relatable love can be, no matter who you are.

Audrey Houghton, a UAFS junior from Bella Vista, said, “Almost, Maine allows the audience to see themselves on stage. It celebrates the extraordinary, magical moments in ordinary people’s lives, and reminds us that everyday individuals can be the stars of love stories. It’s such a beautiful show, and truly something everyone should experience.”

Performances will begin at 7 p.m. each evening. Tickets are $10 for general admission and free for the UAFS community.

All tickets must be reserved online at .
