The Drennen-Scott Historic Site will celebrate 香蕉视频APP鈥� 190th birthday on June 13 with a free, family-friendly event featuring live music, historical interpretation, and a cannon salute.

The celebration will begin at 11 a.m. with a performance of 鈥淭he Arkansaw Traveler鈥� by fiddler Ernie Hill. A brief program exploring the tune鈥檚 connections to the Drennen-Scott Historic Site will follow.

At 11:30 a.m., visitors can attend a cannon salute honoring 香蕉视频APP, which became the nation鈥檚 25th state on June 15, 1836.

The event鈥檚 featured presentation, 鈥淛ohn Drennen in the Context of Statehood,鈥� will begin at 12:30 p.m. and be presented by Tom Wing, assistant professor of history at the University of 香蕉视频APP at Fort Smith. 

鈥淲hile we are all caught up in the 250^th birthday of the United States, our own 香蕉视频APP celebrates it's 190^th this year,鈥� Wing said. 鈥淪ince John Drennen represented the people of Crawford County (then Fort Smith and Van Buren) by voting yea to statehood, it is fitting and proper to have a party for the 25th state at his house.鈥�

Cookies and lemonade will be served throughout the celebration. The event will conclude at 2 p.m.
