Dr. Leigh A. Carter is an assistant professor in the School of Education at UAFS. Dr. Carter earned her doctoral degree through Saint Louis University. In her role at UAFS, she serves as the coordinator of field experiences and teacher licensure within the same department. With more than three decades of experience as an educator in Missouri, Texas, and 香蕉视频APP, she has taught students across elementary, middle, and secondary grade levels. Dr. Carter鈥檚 public school experience includes serving as a teacher, principal, district director (GT and ESOL), and assistant superintendent. Her research interests include mentoring practices to support early career educators and academic support through wraparound services.

Having graduated from Mountain Home High School and being a long-term resident of the Natural State, Dr. Carter appreciates the opportunities provided to her and her family here in 香蕉视频APP. She is eager to give back and serve at UAFS. In her current role, she is dedicated to preparing teacher candidates to be 鈥淒ay-One Ready鈥 for their future teaching careers.
